What Makes Us Different?

The Association was formed in July 2018 in Texas and registered as a nonprofit organization and is made up of the indigenes of Akanu Ohafia in Abia State of Nigeria who are resident in the United States of America (USA). They are brought together by mutual social and cultural heritage with the aim of fostering peace, unity, cooperation, and interaction among the members and to promote a peaceful and a thriving community. Membership is voluntary and open to all male and female of Akanu Ohafia, by birth and by naturalization, and their spouses. Non indigenes are also welcomed if they met the requirements of the constitution.

Membership Eligibility

Our objective is to promote peace, unity, progress and the wellbeing of its members resident in the USA and Akanu Ohafia including its cultural heritage, values, social interaction and charitable works that promote vibrant and a thriving community.
